The genesis of Disappearing Ink was a late night request for a raucous chamber work for clarinet and drum set; you know the sort, in your face, loud, edgy, unyielding. When the piece was nearly finished, I decided that it was too much fun to not take part; so I added the electric guitar. The result is a six-minute Zappa-esque, maniac ride from start to finish. My hats off to Tim Price and Steve Hall for playing the work! The recording of Disappearing Ink has been a blast; we hope you think so too.
