Legendary Female Vocalists Create Supergroup to Release Anthemic New Release "Show Some Love" on Purple Rose Records NEW YORK, NY--(Marketwired - March 25, 2015) - Legendary Female Vocalists Martha Wash, Evelyn "Champagne" King and Linda Clifford have created a dynamic super group, FIRST LADIES OF DISCO, to release their first collaboration, "Show Some Love" on Martha Wash's imprint, Purple Rose Records on March 25, 2015. "This empowering and timely anthem perfectly showcases the vocal dynamics of each of these groundbreaking and chart-topping divas," James Washington, head of A&R at Purple Rose Records, and creator and brand manager for First Ladies Of Disco LLC. Produced, and co-written by the internationally renowned team of Zach Adam and Heather Holly, "Show Some Love" is destined to ascend to the top of the charts and return these musical icons to their rightful place in the music industry. The initial release will feature a "bonus mix" (which is affectionately called the "B-Side"), the first dance remix helmed by John LePage and Brian Cua. There will be a variety a "dance remixes" to follow, which are being provided by several of the top remixers of today: Razor N' Guido, Ranny, Maraud3r, The Degenerates, The Perry Twins, Good Girls and Ollywood. Martha Wash, Evelyn "Champagne" King and Linda Clifford will also be touring internationally with "FIRST LADIES OF DISCO," which will become one of the most talked about shows in history, fusing Dance, R&B, Soul and Pop…rekindling memories and reminding audiences why they fell in love with these spectacular songstresses in the first place. Two (2)-time Grammy Award nominee Martha Wash's voice has dominated the airwaves, and her charisma and spirit have been embraced millions of people around the world. She is responsible for some of the top-selling, most recognizable pop hits from the 1970s through today. Ms. Wash gained fame as a member of Two Tons of Fun behind Disco legend Sylvester. She also enjoyed tremendous success with "It's Raining Men," the cult pop classic recorded under the moniker The Weather Girls, which is still heard everywhere. She's also the voice behind "Sweat (Everybody Dance Now)," which was the highlight of C&C Music Factory's career and sold 5 1/2 million copies worldwide. Black Box's "Dreamland" featured four #1 Billboard Dance singles and three Top 40 hits including "Strike It Up," a single that continues to receives massive airplay and is still heard at every NFL and NBA game everywhere!
