Daniel Land was born in Devon in 1980, and has been releasing dream-pop and ambient music for nearly a decade. As a songwriter, first with the Manchester-based Daniel Land & The Modern Painters, and now as a solo artist, he has developed a unique blend of shoegaze and confessional song writing. His first album of songs, "Love Songs For The Chemical Generation", was called "One of the finest records of its time" by Drowned In Sound and it's single "Within The Boundaries" was described as being "Like Slowdive reimagined by Phil Spector" by the NME. Daniel has also released a series of atmospheric landscape music as riverrun, and has collaborated with artists as varied as The Steals, Bing Satellites, Ask For Joy, and the German electronica genius Ulrich Schnauss. Daniel was also a member of the dream-pop supergroup Engineers, around the time of their third album "In Praise of More".
