简介
Nutzo Atlanta, Georgia, the musical Mecca of the south has given the music industry some of the most innovative, trend setting, and platinum plus superstars throughout the 90s into this new millennium. From the best selling female group of all time, TLC, who seamlessly fused R&B, Funk, & Pop music & won fans the world over, to the avant-garde musical styling of the critically acclaimed Outkast, to the platinum boy wonder, Usher, and not forgoing the chart topping juggernaut Lil Jon; all of which hail from Atlanta the unofficial capitol of the south, a city rich in abundance with it's impeccable reservoir of talent. Adding to an already hot to the street melting pot of talent Atlanta newcomer yet far from novice, Nutzo pioneers his own sound, delivery, and style. Serving as the musical & lyrical ambassador to the streets via Miles High Entertainment, Michael Miles aka Nutzo is preparing to release his own arsenal of musical mass destruction. Conceived & bred in an era of soul - feel good music, A native Atlantan born a "Grady Baby" in the late 1970s, Nutzo gained inspiration to pursue music as both a hobby and career growing up in his stomping grounds of Atlanta's West End (The Westside), SWATS (South West Atlanta), and the The Dec' (Decatur). "Man coming up in the streets I was what you would call "stockbroker to the streets" & I would listen to everybody from Earth, Wind, & Fire, to Curtis Mayfield - and I am still influenced to this day by some of the south's and ATL artists - like David Banner and Bun-B," says Nutzo. Grinding the music millstone in pursuit of success since 1991, Nutzo spent his earlier days working with Ichiban Records & served as a key member in the rap group High Class Players. "I used to do this music thing as a simple hobby back in the day - then I got into a lil trouble and had to do a short stint locked up like my man Akon & I when I got out I just had to get my life together and music was that positive release for me," states Nutzo & got his moniker from an incident that he had while trying to dodge the cops. "Yeah I had an incident while I was trying to jump a fence running from the cops," reflects Nutzo with a look of "you fill in the blank" humor on his face. After moving on with life and putting those negative things that once were strongholds behind him Nutzo refocused, revamped, and redirected his energies into his career as a businessman, entrepreneur, producer and consummated artist, launching his own musical imprint Miles High Entertainment in 2002. Meticulously working to hone his lyrical prowess Nutzo has recorded over 60 songs, opened up for those "Don't Give A Damn Drinking Partners," YoungBloodz & the North Carolina "Helicopter spinnin'/ Freaka-lik" Petey Pablo at the highly popular Atrium in the equally recognizable section of Atlanta called the Dec' (Decatur), also partaking in furthering his musical reach Nutzo appears on the underground mixtape "Hip Hop Encounter Radio" - Bridging the Gap #2, with the hard knocking piano accompanied "Hoes Gon' Be Hoes," and gaining momentum as an emcee with an international savoir-faire, Nutzo has performed gigs abroad in China to promote his music, all of which would prove tiresome for any artist of lesser drive & ambition. With the release of Nutzo's highly anticipated debut, "Grown Ass Man," the 1st release on Miles High Entertainment, distributed by Selecto-Hits, Nutzo is sure to deliver and continue in the legacy and relish in the same acclaim that many of his Atlanta counterparts have experienced. Working with a plethora of talent have a hand in the well crafted sonic boom of Nutzo's musical efforts, David Banner, DRU, Shorty P.I., AX, Tron, Jack Frost, Black Mike, Mark Twain, and others, "Grown Ass Man," will by far separate the boys from men. With production by the incomparable Mixzo (who has worked with Goodie Mobb, David Banner, Maxwell, & Whitney Houston), "Grown Ass Man" will be the first of a collection of musical appetizers that Nutzo will be serving. With plans to release subsequent albums before the end of 2004, the sophomore effort, "Be Cool" and "Chevy's & 'Lacs" (an album of chopped & screwed material), when asked about his reasoning for releasing such a vast offering of music Nutzo elaborates, "Yeah it's really a blessing to be able to pursue a dream like this - and I want to be able to touch a wide range of people that love rap music with the release of my other albums." To encompass such a wide array of styles and themes musically speaking - from the radio friendly, to the throw them 'bows club bangers, to the smoothed out rider anthems, Nutzo will appease the musical palate like hot fried chicken at Sunday dinner - so come hungry and leave with a Grown Ass Man!
