Dennis "dePoet" DeLoach was born and raised in the San Francisco Bay Area, and has been performing in Southern California since the mid-seventies. He has released 3 Spoken Word and music CD's, and performs frequently in venues throughout the country. He is the host of S.W.A.A.M (Spoken Word, Art and Music ) which is a bi- weekly open mic poetry and music event in Los Angeles. A "Spoem" is what he calls his unique artform, combining songs and poems Known as a "Spoken Word artist with a song", dePoet's published works include African American Heritage Magazine and a poetry book entitled "Here Comes dePoet".
