简介
Boole's first full-length album, originally released in 2000, is finally available digitally, more than eleven years later. Few copies of the original printing remain, as this album represents a fun mix of everything from hard industrial (Subversitech, ExPatriot), to sweet mashups with remix kits (Kraftjob), to brooding pre-emo synthpo0p (Epiphany) to just general WTF? Some of these songs were written as far back as 1996, such as Voyeur - Boole's first song, and ultimately compiled into the self-titled EP in the Spring of 2000. The two covers, Panic (originally The Smiths) and StreetBeater2 (originally Quincy Jones) were very popular in the club and live, respectively. When this album was first released, people didn't quite know what to think. Most of them still haven't. So just listen and enjoy! ============ About Boole ============ Seminal: The Apologizers. Boole first took form in 1990 as The Apologizers, a comedically oriented and eclectic electronica project whose closest popular relatives might have been Ween, or some of the stranger projects of Atom Heart. Live shows involved extreme weirdness and instrument smashing. (Apologizers material is still available for purchase on boole.org, in the form of the 500 unit limited edition double CD \"Blimp To The Sun,\" which represents a cross section of over 250 works written between 1990 and 2000.) The Reformation: Boole. In 1996, boole was formed by br0d and MAB in Baltimore, Maryland, at Loyola College. After doing a few comps and playing a few shows in the local area, boole relocated to scenic Washington, DC. Sonically, boole represents elements of old style EBM, trance, rhythmic industrial, electro, jazz, funk, disco, and other popular forms. Their music is self-professed \"synthtrance,\" and hybridization will always be a predominant aspect of their music. For better or worse, beyond the staple elements of beat and melody, you will never know exactly what to expect from boole, because boole\'s background leaves them no choice but to innovate. Both formative members come from jazz and classical performance backgrounds first and foremost, with later excursions into punk, thrash, metal, hardcore, and of course trance, techno, and G/I. ALL members are driven by a deep and abiding love for music, just like you. Chances are, if you\'re not currently a fan, then you\'ve probably heard a boole song and not even known it.
