简介
This is Nathan King Miller's first EP release. Although he has always taken a passionate interest in music, his recent background is in filmmaking. With a screenwriting degree from the University of Southern California followed by an internship with Robert Redford's production company, Wildwood Enterprises, Nathan went on to direct and produce short films for international film festivals, feature documentaries for PBS, and an independent documentary feature film about a family of bluegrass musicians struggling to survive after Hurricane Katrina titled "Won't Let the Angels Take You Away." As the film marketplace became more competitive and difficult to make a living at, Nathan decided to pursue a career in dentistry in order to support his family. During late nights and weekends between feverish studying sessions, Nathan rediscovered his love of music and employed his training as a writer to craft a number of energetic, new rock songs with a classic rock feel. The first track of the album, "Kansas City" was written shortly after the birth of his first son, Landon, and was written in a hotel overlooking the Kansas City downtown skyline the night before Nathan's dental school interview at the University of Missouri-Kansas City. Now over three years later, with the birth of his second son, Henry, Nathan has completed the album which he titles "Newborn" - a descriptor suitable for new music, new children, and a new passion for creativity. The album features the talents of a number of skilled musicians and was professionally mastered for digital and iTunes release by Abbey Road Studios in the UK.
