Last month in our promo spiel we passed comment on what seems to be commonly referred to by overpaid marketing execs as 'the EDM lifestyle'. We also happened to name check Calvin Harris during these musings, which led to Calvin asking 'what the f**k is this?' Bizarrely, it turned out that for all these years we've been emailing music to DJs, Calvin was actually on our mailing list... and this was his first time sending us some feedback. What a gent. It actually transpired that Calvin wasn't hugely into being name checked and in no uncertain terms branded us as 'idiots' for doing so... which in all fairness, if we consider this is a man who earned somewhere in region of 25 million last tax year and whose lawyers probably cost more per hour than we gross in a year from download and streaming income, it seemed like pretty poor feedback to what were actually two great records from poor old Arcane Youth. Anyway, we digress. The most important part of this month's promo spiel is this... we've signed a very talented producer chap called Wrangle. We've known Wrangle for over a decade and finally the stars/moons/planets (whichever the f**k it is) have aligned, leaving us with one of the most diverse two-track releases we've put out so far, as far as our opinion goes. If you like your club records with synths and keys (that have actually been played in and not just plucked off some ****ing Loopmasters pack), you'll probably highly rate this release. If not, just input 'idiots' into the feedback box below. At the end of the day, if nothing else, it'll make Arcane Youth feel better. Released 12.11.15 - via all worthwhile music outlets.
