Upon hearing the voice of God in 2002, Peter felt divinely led to birth a choir with a difference. God gave him the name Jabez which means ‘pain,’ for this would be no ‘ordinary’ choir defined by just their vocal and musical ability, but a choir called and ordained by God to help deliver God’s people from their pain. The members of the Choir were chosen for their life experiences and their walk with God; they were to be a people who really knew the meaning of TRUE worship. To that end, God proceeded to lead in the choosing of individuals who had been processed through the ‘pain’ that life had brought them, but who had emerged with a shout of victory on their lips. The Jabez Family had its first rehearsal in April 2004, where God audibly confirmed the call and the vision of the group and have since never looked back, but have gone on to do exploits in the name of Jesus Christ. The Jabez Family started out as a small group of singers and musicians emanating from different churches in and around London and the UK. The mandate of the choir is to strengthen the faint hearted, heal the broken, set free those who are bound and to let those who have lost their way know that there is a place of Salvation, safety, refuge and restoration in God. The Jabez Family have been invited to minister at numerous events both nationally and internationally. Though they are often called to minster in song, their gifting in the five fold ministry as; Prophets, Apostles, Evangelists, Pastors and Teachers, have often aided their ability to manoeuvre effectively by God’s leading; so when the manifestation of the sound of Heaven is heard, the people can be attended to appropriately. Peter Francis has a heart for Eastern European countries, in particular, Poland and Denmark. He has been instrumental in transforming the lives of thousands of individuals, teaching them about the Gospel of Jesus Christ and helping them to develop in their spiritual growth. His service within this manner has been nothing short of extraordinary, as he continues to submit his calling and ministry to God. Eyes have not seen, ears have not heard, nor has it entered into the heart of man the things God is about to do with Peter Francis and The Jabez Family.
