简介
We have a new artist on the horizon hailing from Oak Cliff Dallas, Texas. And I'm talking about none other than Starvin' Artists' own Dirty Red. He gives to us "Gift of Gab", which he shows that he has without question. The "Intro" is a pimped out dedication to 'ol Dirty (not O.D.B., RIP). It starts off with "Who Is He?" as he humorously answers the question as to who he be on a bangin' track. "When I Get Rich" is a gunnin' for the come up that takes you on a fast ride with Red and his crew. "Take On The World" is a soulful boom bap where Red tells how he feels about him doing his thang in the rap game by spittin' straight flames. And it seems he can't stand that white t song either, ha, ha. The flutes are brought in on "You Got That Fire", a melodic ode given to one of his favorite past times, gettin' next to the opposite sex, which is sure to please. "Dream On" is about him having dreams of blowing up in the game since the days of when "Cool J was hot no doubt/ with an imaginary mic to my mouth/ rapping I'm Bad, and jumping off my grandma's couch". And you can't sleep on the funny line of "Now I done spent many nights up in my bed room pacing/ thinking what do I have to do to get rotation? Take me a gun up to the radio station/ catch Skip Cheatem on the way out and blaze him? I'm just kidding, but y'all get the picture....". The first single and video is the straight mobbin' "Green Boy" that guest stars a former artist of Dr. Dre who was on the Chronic 2001's Xxplosive, 6'2. They give it up to gettin' that green, a shout out to Pimp C and Bun B of UGK as they big up D-Town. "Pressed For Time" is a tale of his appreciation for his blessings when he did what he felt he had to to eat and didn't catch cases. And it's dedicated to those still on the grind not working a nine to five trying to stay alive. "Infatuated" is another melodic ditty aimed at the ladies. "Bulletproof" is a tight jam showing how gangsta they are on the mic and not to get it twisted in reality either...nuff said. The Jigga/R.Kelly Fiesta type track "Bedtime Medicine'" is just the boys braggin' about their sexual prowess as in one verse asks the question if you "ever made love to some Mack 10?" So girls if you game, "they got that bedtime medicine/ that's better than Excederine...". "Yes Sir/No Sir" is a bangin' hot boy cut with Lil' Flip and another one of Starvin' Artists' own Young Muhammad. The bluesy "I'm Sorry" details what goes on in relationships sometimes when things don't go so well and trying to make amends. "Shake It Like That" is self-explanatory, that favors Vanity's Nasty Girl. And finally, the "Real Life Soilders" in the streets assisted by Bun B of UGK will definitely have the block on fire with the military feel that it has to it that many will identify with. With a solid offering like this, Dirty Red is definitely one to look out for. So what are y'all waiting for? Go cop that!
