Krishna, The Flute Player is my life…. and my music. My journey that started as a little girl in S.Africa to India the land of spiritual music.…My attraction to the flute player who sent me on a journey of music from Govardhan in Uttar Pradesh to Ajmer in Rajasthan! The flute player who has taken me to different parts of the world in my music. The album is intended to create artistic inspiration, relaxation, and optimism. It can be used by listeners for yoga, massage, meditation, as a method of stress management or to create a peaceful atmosphere in your home or other environments. Nine different tracks composed and arranged by Rajeev Mahavir and myself Shashika Mooruth. This is new age or world music that is out of this world! The album includes both electronic forms and acoustic forms, featuring instruments such as flutes, piano, acoustic guitar and a wide variety of non-western acoustic instruments such as the bamboo flute, sarangi, bulbul tarang and batajon. And off course it is all tuned up with my vocal arrangements. My voice weaves in and out of the sound of different instruments and dives deep into your soul.
