David Whitney composes and arranges music in a variety of genres from acoustic music (piano and guitar), hard rock, prog rock, party rock, and anything in between. (Essentially he works on one piece or collection of pieces, and when the project is finished, he goes in a completely different direction (working with completely different musicians, etc.) He follows the Duke Ellington mantra: "There are only two kinds of music: good and bad." (David tries to shoot for the "good" kind, but, you just never know what he'll come up with--and, he won't apologize for that.) **Incidentally, his true love is jazz drumming believe it or not!
