Songwriter Gerald Smith is from Statesboro, Georgia, and has resided in Nashville for the past eighteen years. A prolific writer, Smith has penned such number one songs as "What Part Of No Don't You Understand" for Lorrie Morgan and "Every Second" for Collin Raye. He has also written songs for George Strait "Just Look At Me", George Jones "The Lone Ranger", Perfect Stranger "Cut Me Off", Johnny Rodriquez "The Bitter Inn", "Behind His Last Goodbye" also by Lorrie Morgan,"Good Saddles Ain't Cheap" Justin McBride, multiple songs for Country Newcomer Josh Brown and many Others.
