Unfold was recorded in Brazil and mixed and mastered by French producer Damien Rainaud in Los Angeles, California/USA. Almah was established in 2006 as a solo-project of Edu Falaschi (Angra’s singer at the time). After release of the debut album entitled ‘Almah’, the solo-project turned into a permanent band that launched another two records, ‘Fragile Equality’ (2008) and ‘Motion’ (2011). In May 2012 Falaschi announced his departure from Angra to concentrate on Almah as his main band. At the beginning of 2013 the band recorded its fourth album entitled ‘Unfold’. The idea of this concept album is expressed by Oriental philosophy’s symbol, the Lotus flower. The cover artwork was designed by internationally recognized digital artist Nathália Suellen (Rio de Janeiro, Brazil). Musically ‘Unfold’ presents variety of songs and arrangements: from beautiful ballads to true power metal killers or alternative/thrash/power songs, with surprising passages between various genres, speed, heaviness and vocal techniques. Edu Falaschi’s voice is diverse as never before. On September 19 the band took part in the world famous Rock In Rio Festival, one of the most important musical events of the year. Also a European tour with Secret Sphere has been confirmed for November 2013.
