Rasha Nahas is a singer, songwriter and a guitarist. Rasha grew up in Haifa, located on the shores of the Mediterranean and the hills of the Carmel mountain. Influenced by Folk, Poetry and Rock n Roll, with a simple touch of Jazz, Classical music, and naturally, Middle Eastern music. She started her Classical guitar studies at the age of ten, and together with her great passion for poetry and literature - she developed her own sound. Rasha has mixed classical guitar patterns with her raw, distinct voice floating upon it, carrying controversial yet intimate lyrics. In the underground scene of Haifa, Rasha grew up exploring different genres with multiple groups and she played in Acoustic, Experimental, and Rock n roll projects. At 18, Rasha began her journey around Europe and the United States, being exposed to different perceptions and approaches to music as well as sharing her own. Traveling, performing, busking and mainly listening, in a constant search for truth in nurturing her path in art. Rasha's debut EP ‘Am I’ (Produced by Mark Smulian) - which she recorded between England and the Middle East: “For me it’s a simple combination of words and music composed on the thin line between darkness and light. As well as a vulnerable space of questioning time and identity, dissonance and harmony. silence, land and mortality.”
