Columbo are a five-piece, no-nonsense guitar-led band from the South East. The quality of the songs penned by both Guy De Cruz and Rob Moore reflects their influences from both vintage and Northern Soul and 60s Mod culture. Columbo have a wealth of original material, but it is in their live shows that their strength really lies, which has given them an enviable reputation with die - hard fans and amongst the scooterist movement. The band are regularly booked for scooter events and parties across the UK, and to compliment the originals the boys have a back-catalogue of mod favourites. Irish Jack - Pete Townshend's inspiration for Jimmy in Quadrophenia, and an established poet has been qouted as saying 'these boys have got SOUL' and Steve Marriot himslef told Rob shortly before his death that his voice was 'f***ing lovely'.
