"Day of Delta" is a snapshot of a band in constant metamorphosis. They faced new challenges during the writing process: they lost their original bassist of 4 years; they lived scattered across New York and had to travel 100 miles to rehearse; and each member was a working musician caught in the middle of the economic downturn. Their first album, 2008's "Balance," was a feel-good, hyperactive romp through myriad genres, but as their stability as humans and as a band waned, the music began reflecting the dark catharsis happening in their lives. For the first time, the new songs were borne out of honest frustration, and they became more inspired then ever before. The word "delta" describes the possible variations in an equation - they realized their true artistry grew most naturally when the "equation" of their lives was in the midst of dramatic change.
