Biography Great Day For Up is four musicians that strive to integrate diverse influences into one unique sound. This is accomplished through a cooperative writing style, songs continue to evolve even after their 'completion'. The band is experimental and remains open-minded in an effort to continuously develop their sound. Formed in Albany, Great Day For Up is Michael Langone, Michael Vitali, David Lahaie, and Terry McCoy. Great Day For Up's influences range from minimalist composers and jazz musicians to pop, punk, and avant-garde/ rock. Members of this band were formerly in NYC's The Greys, Boston's Ajna Chakra, Albany's Smokehouse Prophets, and Albany's Dreams and Nightmares. Great Day For Up has just released a self-titled EP and initial feedback has been very positive on the energy and feeling captured on this release. Great Day For Up continues to bring eclectic high-energy rock to their live performances. Lead by the hypnotic performance of vocalist m. Langone, the avant-garde guitar of m. Vitali, the smooth and heavy bass playing of d. Lahaie, and the solid drumming of t. McCoy, Great Day For Up is an experience both live and on record that leaves a lasting impression and continues to gain a larger, more diverse fan base.
