简介
You can’t write the future without looking to the past. Pull the thread backwards and you’ll find that blues begat rock and roll, and Appalachian folk music evolved into early country. Modern Americana weaves historic traditions such as these into the cloth of contemporary roots music. Sewn into that fabric, you’ll find the music of Threads and Vowels. As the late Richie Havens once said (perhaps paraprashing Louis Armstrong), “all music is folk music.” Give a listen to a Threads and Vowels tune and chances are you’ll hear the warming influence of classic rock, the rustic harmonies of bluegrass, the storytelling of classic country, and the raw intimacy of the blues. Every bit of which hearkens back to traditional folk music. From an early age, Evan Setzer and Eric Delia have always found time to write songs together. But due to conflicts with other music projects and the everyday demands of working for a living, they were never able to devote their full attention to this music. Over the years, the two have continually refined their sound and turned shared memories into stories best told through song. Too good to sit on the shelf, this music is now coming to life. Evan is a multi-instrumentalist and classically trained cellist and guitarist. Eric is a vocalist and self-taught guitarist with an uncanny knack for setting words to music. Their songwriting is born out of a shared creative process that combines musical intricacy with soulful down-home melodies and harmonies. This music should feel like home.
