Born Spencer Brian Alexander Clark on January 30th, 1992 in Barrie Ontario Canada, Spencer grew up with his 3 older brothers and parents in the north end of the city. Spencer always had a passion for music and at the age of 11 he began to learn how to play the guitar. Writing songs to his guitar riffs quickly transitioned into writing Hip Hop lyrics and recording songs with his cousin Adam Walsh and older brother Cody Clark. The two were apart of a local rap trio known as the First Kings Family. After several years of crafting his writing and rapping abilities in the studio with his brother and cousin, he was invited to join them on stage while opening the Classified show in Barrie '08. Under the stage name Urban Havoc, Spencer released 2 EPs, 2 Mixtapes and one Album titled After The Show. Over the years he performed alongside major artists such as Redman & Method Man, Ghostface Killah, Llyod Banks, Twista, Classified, Danny Fernandes, Sheek Louch and Maestro Fresh Wes. But in early February 2016, Spencer began writing a song that would birth his rebranding as an artist and lead to changing his stage name to Astin Clark. That track was titled Tonight and was produced by Cousin Floyd, a close friend and producer at Astin's recording studio in Barrie. In March, Astin took the song into the legendary Phase One Studios in Toronto and worked on the record with engineers Dajaun Martineau and Mike Smith. A video was shot that same day by Captured Photography and Film and was released on Facebook, Youtube and other streaming sites August 31st hitting over 3,000 views in its first day. After the success of his single Tonight, Astin was approached by his long time friend and mentor Atwell (F.K.A Absent Minded). Understanding what Astin intended to accomplish with his rebranding and his transition to a style more suited for popular top 40 music, Atwell requested the two get into the studio together to collaborate on Astin' debut album. Ringing in the New Year while working in the studio marked the halfway point on the albums completion. The project is set to release sometime in the summer of 2017 and will be accompanied with tour dates across Canada, USA and Europe.
