简介
I have been researching the deaths of my wife Kathy’s Australian grandfather Dr Leslie Griffiths, his son Ian, and a British man called Robert Harris. They were killed together in Lurestan, Iran in 1942. They spent the last years of their lives in Esfahan (aka Isfahan), and are buried there. The song is a by-product of that research. I have never been to Esfahan and would love to go, but the deterioration in relations between Iran and the UK makes any visit too risky at present. The song registers this sense of loss, and is a plea for peace.
