Michal Bugala – finished guitar studies at Jazz Institute of the University of Music and Dramatic Arts in Graz (Austria) by the prof. Guido Jeszenszky. He is a member of musical groups : FuseJazz, Juraj Griglák Company, “Bass Inferno”, Oskar Rózsa Partnership Unlimited, Martin Valihora Group, FunkPunk Project, Dodo Šošoka Slovak Jazz Quartet (2003-05), Marcel Palonder & Tango Ultimo, Štefan Bartuš & JazzBrothers, he also participated on projects like Andrej Šeban ChillPill LiveBand (2007, 2010). Currently he’s getting together jazz group, a hammond trio called BugoBros/6.Sense Trio with his brother Stefan Bugala and Eugen Vizvary, which this year issues its debut with guests - trumpet players - Carniaux Ryan, Daniel Noesig and Jeremy Pelt called Triofeaturing. He played and performed almost with all outstanding native artists, even with international elite like Victor Bailey, Poogie Bell, Eric Marienthal, Gary Husband, Mark Mondesir, Andy Middleton, Harry Sokal, Mark Kelley, Howard Curtis and many others such as Kim Davis, Vivian Sessoms, Rick Bailey, AnitaSoul, Jure Pukl, Martin Reiter, Vladimir Kostadinovic... At the end of 2008 he based his own formation called Michal Bugala Group what is a logical result of his compositional activities and musical practices from his previous activity on the musical scene, in the sphere of another formations and projects as well. In the Michal Bugala Group he is presented as a composer, too. Up to the moment, in the formation of the Michal Bugala Group have performed many outstanding native and foreign musicians : Juraj Griglák, Dušan Novakov, Milan Nikolić, Tomáš Gajlík, Radovan Tariška, Štefan Bartuš, Klaudius Kováč and Peter Solárik. In september 2010 in Peter Karl Studios in Brooklyn, NY, he recorded his debut profile CD 1st Touch with world class musicians: Seamus Blake, Danny Grissett, Vicente Archer and Kendrick Scott. This album is now available. Michal Bugala occasionally co-operates with Slovak Sinfonietta - Chamber music orchestra from Žilina and with Trnava`s Chamber music orchestra. He recorded many CD`s with various interprets of jazz and pop music, music of several Slovak films. He took part in many performances on the international festivals. He performed in a concerts in many European states and in USA.
