简介
Martijn grew up in a musical family as he is the third generation of professional musicians. He first started off hitting the drums at his father's recording studio. His father wasn't so happy about changing the skins so often. But who could blame a 4 year old. At the age of 6 Martijn started studying drums for real. Later on also the organ, keyboard and piano. His first song he wrote was at the elementary school. The song was never recorded. From the age of 14 he started working for his dad in the recording studio. Later on he studied electronic composition in Groningen, The Netherlands. He had a great teacher who gave him more tools to create songs with a good working structure. Around the age of 21 a well known Dutch singer, Henk Wijngaard (well known in The Netherlands), translated the english lyrics of the song "Without you I'll be lonely" to "Zonder jou ben ik eenzaam". The song landed on the album "Terug op de weg", distributed by Koch MM (now Sony Music). It has even been covered by other artists later on. Being in his twenties, it was hard for him to find his way that leads to happiness and satisfaction. After the break up of his first long serious relationship, he's now working on his twentieth I think (just kidding), he started to take writing more seriously by really using his emotions and gained experience. The first song was too good to quit and the first songs of the album "Feel the love" started to appear. Not just love songs, but life songs. "Someday you'll see" that life is all about love.
