Four of the solo piano tracks were improvised on the spot and recorded in one take -- "Selina & Dil", "Mikael (For Irina & Sarkis)", "Apples and Tea", and "27". Five songs were recorded on Steinway pianos (two on a Steinway D, three on a Steinway L) and the remaining five were recorded on a Ravenscroft 220.
