In his second album, KO-NA Foster Kalama seamlessly weaves together the traditional music of the Native American flute, hand drums, and rattles with the natural sounds from his ancestral homelands on the Columbia plateau. KO-NA traces his lineage from Hawaiian King Kamehameha and Queen Kalama as well as Old chief Joseph. He grew up in Warm Springs, Oregon and prefers to stay as close as possible to traditional ways. He is a pipe carrier for his family and people as well as a musician and artist. Of his own music, KO-NA says "Our songs are borrowed from the heavens. They help cleanse the mind and heart and heal the soul." Let yourself be healed and transported with over an hour of flute music and sharing of traditional teachings on "Songs of the Sacred Spirit".
