Otolith is an expansive sampling of many flavors of indie pop, glued together with the unmistakeable vocal style of front-woman Jacki Paolella, often backed by thoughtful male harmonies. From 90's alt-rock to hip-hop to chiptune influenced themes, DJP and MrT reinvents their approach almost song by song. 'The Wheel' offers up a dreamy chamber pop in several movements, while 'Oh No Mom' and 'Round Up' serve as unique anthemic numbers for good and bad days alike. This release also offers a peek into new territory for the band with Tyler as male lead vocalist in 'Ghosts', and the club-worthy dance tune R6M. The album wraps up with a re-recorded version melancholic ballad 'Bone Folder' which is a crowd favorite during live performances.
