简介
"My kids are not fans of being in the car. I hate entertaining with the iPads all the time but the whining and crying in the car is out of control. I decided to invest in some kids CDs to ease my, and their, car agony!!! Well our favorite new CD is "positive kids music". The girls love it and know all the words and sing along! The CD has absolutely eased our car rides ....just beware, you may catch yourself singing the songs." - Kristina G, mother of 2, Sherman Oaks, CA “The Positive Kids Music CD really is amazing. I'm a daycare provider and use it during my movement and music time and it really gets the kids dancing. The children love the songs and have fun imitating the different characters. It's so great to hear messages that are not only positive, but also easy for the kids to relate to.” - Marcella S., Owner, Marcella’s Daycare, Westminster, MD “Inspired by One…Tested on Two!” o “Inspired by One” - Positive Kids Music was inspired by Founder Mark Frank’s first son Ian. o “Tested on Two” – Years later, Mark and his wife had twins…a boy and a girl. Mark was able to play these finished songs for them and see how much joy they got listening to them, and now at age 3, singing along! For the full story, keep reading below! o Our kids hear negative messages all the time, from TV, internet, the news, even from nursery rhymes at the earliest stages of life. o What messages should parents provide their children? Don't wait for children to discover self-help books and messages on their own as adults. The messages found in books by Stephen Covey, Anthony Robbins, and Dale Carnegie are universal. The lessons from Seven Habits, Who Moved My Cheese?, and The Secret are best taught early in life. Positive Kids Music provides these messages to children NOW, so they won't have to reprogram themselves later! The positive messages in this music will help children: Boost Self Esteem Increase Confidence Have a Positive Outlook on Life Become a Generally Happier Child THE FULL STORY: "Inspired By One" -- When our son, Ian, was born, he filled a hole in my heart that I never realized existed. The love I felt was so deep and strong, it made me want to just sing about it. Over the first two years of his life, that’s exactly what I did! I would take Ian on walks in his stroller, and just sing whatever I was feeling. And sometimes, those songs stuck with me, and I’d come back home, turn on my keyboard, and start recording. Years in the making, “Positive Kids Music” was inspired by the deepest love imaginable. Little did I know that years later, I would experience that love again twofold, and have the opportunity to enjoy these songs with my sweet twins, Sophia and Ryan! The additional inspiration for the CD, and specifically my desire to share this CD with the world, came when I saw some of the other options out there. There were a lot of silly and seemingly meaningless songs out there. Children love to sing songs, but do they have to sing about The Plague? (Ring Around The Rosey). I also notice there were quite a few negative Nursery Rhymes, sometimes even violent! Here are a few examples: “Humpty Dumpty sat on a wall, Humpty Dumpty had a great fall, all the kings horses and all the king’s men couldn’t put Humpty together again.” The message: Mistakes can’t be fixed, things can’t be made better. Your situation will not improve. “Rock-a-bye Baby on the tree top. When the wind blows, the cradle will rock. When the bow breaks, the cradle will fall, and down will come baby, cradle and all.” The message: You are not safe. Not to mention the irresponsibility of putting a cradle in a tree!! Violent: “Goosey Goosey Gander where shall I wander, upstairs downstairs and in my lady’s chamber, there I met an old man who wouldn’t say his prayers, I took him by the left leg and threw him down the stairs.” Really? Our kids don’t need any suggestion that it’s ok to throw someone down the stairs. Never mind that this nursery rhyme is about religious intolerance. I believe if children love to sing, let them sing! But let’s give them songs to sing with positive lyrics and messages of self-esteem and self love. "Tested On Two" Our twins, Ryan & Sophia, were born in 2010, and starting at age 1 we began playing the songs from this CD for them in the car. They loved it from the beginning! We would get in the car, and they would immediately begin asking us to “play Daddy music!” Before long, starting sometime between age 2 and 2½, they really started singing along. To see them smile, and hear them sing words like “This is myself, I love myself…” and “If it is to be it is up to me, I can have it all, have myself a ball, I can make it happen,” is a dream come true! About the Songs I Love Myself – this song teaches about the parts of our body, with an important self-esteem boost as your child sings about loving everything about his/her self. “These are my eyes, I love my eyes. I use them to see things in front of me.” Positive Thinking – kids will learn that the glass is always half full, they can look at the bright side and see the silver lining in the sky. I Am Who I Am – Children are all so different. A child may wonder if they will be like Mommy in some ways and like Daddy in others. Will they be musically talented, will they be tall or short? “Either way, that’s ok. I’m thankful every day. I am me in my own way. That’s why I’m proud to say, ‘I am who I am.’” I Can Make It Happen (If It Is To Be It Is Up To Me) – this takes the well-known concept that life is 10% what happens to us and 90% how we react to it, and puts it in simple terms. We can choose how we want to react and feel. “If I want to laugh, I can laugh. If I want to cry, I can cry. I can laugh or cry, whatever I decide. I can make it happen.” Believe It – Brian Tracy said “if you believe you can or you believe you can’t, in either case you are probably right.” This song teaches kids that they can do or be anything they want. “No one can tell you different. If you believe it, it is true.” When I Grow Up – a fun song that allows a child to wonder what they might be when they grow up! It’s Fun To Be Good – every parent or caregiver will love hearing a child sing about how much fun it is to be good! From cleaning up their toys to listening to Mom & Dad, “it’s more fun to be good than it is to be bad.” You In The World – a beautiful song that is sure to make everyone smile. “I’m so glad you’re here with me, you make me proud as anyone can be. Just remember these words I say are true. The world’s a better place with you.” These Hands – a soothing song with a pretty melody, with words that can be very comforting. “…long before our story’s told, you’ll always have these hands to hold.” Snoozyland – the CD concludes with a classic lullaby about going to Snoozyland. “Now it’s time for Snoozyland, that’s the place for me. It’s late at night, the moon is bright, I’m ready for my dreams.”
