This is a collection of songs, some new and some that have been performed for years, representing the styles and topics Mr. Giacalone has been associated with as a performing artist. Acoustic rhythm and blues is how Mr. Giacalone likes to define his style, although you will hear influences of folk, pop, and jazz in this mix.

Mr. Giacalone begins the CD with the song There's a Sun, bringing together the original members of the Human Condition, a band with which he has long been associated. Other songs that have been with Mr. Giacalone for years and are included in this recording are Things Ain’t What, Gambler, Two Talking Monster, Sobering Moves, and Trust all demonstrate why Mario refers to his music as acoustic rhythm and blues. Ballads like Old Man Song, and My Heart to You, originally written for the rock opera Music in Me, have been included in his live sets for years.

His newer work, Trying for Love, I Was not There, St. Anthony and Visitation, show a range of musical interests withTrying for Love employing a near bossa nova style and St. Anthony using an Indian raga as it's base, and both I Was Not There and Visitation, are ballads with folk influences.
