I remember ever since I was a kid - probably as soon as I could talk in full sentences - I was singing. Everywhere I went, I found melodies in life. As I grew older, I began to realize God put life in melodies and songs for me to praise Him everyday, but also to spread that praise wherever He took me. It’s been years since that realization, and even longer since I’ve written any form of music. Yet something changed about a year ago when I sat down to worship at my piano, and the next thing I knew there was a whole song on paper completed before me. In the coming months, I got bits and pieces of songs, but never finished them. Then one day, I said to God, “send me the person who has the other half of these songs - Your songs.” About two weeks later, Nicole Derrick asked me to sing her song ‘Warrior’ and the rest is history. It says in Psalms 22:3 that He inhabits the praises of His people, and I will praise Him until the day I die, then forevermore at His feet in Heaven. -Taylor As a fulfillment of Psalm 37:4, I was given the ability to write songs around seven years ago. I had attempted songwriting for decades, but all of my efforts failed. It wasn't until I decided to give God His rightful place of first in my life that songs started flowing effortlessly from my heart. Nine months ago, God spoke to my heart regarding a beautiful young girl named Taylor Strickland. He pointed out Taylor's obedience and He showed me that He was pleased with her. I had reached out to Taylor several months earlier, but God hadn't yet prepared her heart to work with me. When I approached Taylor only four months later, Taylor gladly accepted my invitation understanding this time that it was God-inspired. He immediately showed Taylor and me that we were to be a team and that we were to co-write an album that would lead people to drink of His living water. - Nicole
