So glad to see this album finally get re-released. About this album. Wow! I broke my hip in a car wreck. I was laid up for months. But the sad thing was I became dependent on Loratab. It was during the Fourth Of July evening that I finally had what I can only guess was a nervous breakdown. I have been trying to wean myself off of the pain pills and my kids and my girlfriend at the time all couldn't come see me. When I woke from what felt like a hangover, I decided maybe I needed to make some music. The result was a collection of songs that actually make up two albums. My next album called "Solo" was also recorded largely during this time. Drug fueled one moment and climbing the walls from cold turkey the next. It was rough. This was released as a Keifer album because of the help(although limited) from Mike Lawyer. As you know, me and Mike are Keifer. The reason for two albums? Solo became a more personal album. When I deceded to release Keifer Rides Again not all the songs were ready. So, two albums. Almost two Keifer albums. But getting Mike to help on this one was a chore. Maybe because of the loratab. Of course I wasn't thinking clearly. Some songs I used a click track. On loratab days I just winged it. Of course, it will sound like it. Hope you get a kick out of it. Remember, a mind on fire is not always a good thing.
