‘My Imaginary Friend’ is a song about leaving and saying goodbye. Beneath the childish sentiment the song contains painful truths and lessons hard learnt in the pursuit of friendship and collaboration. Written during the break-up of Olmo Mathilda (Frank’s previous project) the song contains within it the seeds of a new beginning.

With its catchy melody, indie guitar, and percussion grounded in afro beat and reggae, this vintage Gameboy sounding song sings about moving on and accepting the inevitable truths involved in growing up.
