The Cordovans debut EP, One of These Days, represents the band's high energy and variety style live show, which has been described as rock, Americana, country, funk, blues, funny, good, and other stuff. Beau Johnson, Billy New, and Nick Zareski have collaborated to put out 8 original tunes. Beau Johnson and Billy New are the principal songwriters and they generally write independently. They bring songs to table and flesh them out in a band setting. Both have commented that working in this fashion brings new feeling to the songs. The Cordovans worked with Mitch Webb from Mantis Records in their home base of Charleston, SC, to put out a nice sampling of their Rockicana style."We really hope the term 'Rockicana' goes viral. Maybe we'll get it trademarked," says Johnson. While the project was originally designed to be 6 studio tracks, The Cordovans included 2 bonus “live from the studio” tracks. The first 6 tracks cover varied ground from the groovy pop sound of "Got Your Love" to the darker feel of "Loaded." They had so much fun in the studio working on the songs that they decided to go all acoustic to share a few more homegrown tunes. Recording was a labor of love and they wanted to put as many songs on the album as possible. The Cordovans hope you enjoy listening to the music as much as they like playing it!
