My name is Josh Sahunta and I am a young singer-songwriter from Edmonton, Alberta. I am self taught in multiple instruments including: piano, guitar, drums, and bass. I have no vocal training other than exercises I have found on Youtube. I am also self taught in using numerous music recording programs on which I record my demo’s and soundtrack compositions. I’m pretty “do-it-yourself”. I feel a much larger sense of accomplishment learning things on my own and succeeding, opposed to having someone do it all for you. I am also a student at the University of Alberta which means that my “DIY” lifestyle is crucial to my survival. I perform all over Edmonton and will soon hopefully be branching off into the United Kingdom, where my family is from. I love creating memorable experiences with my performances and putting on shows for good causes. I have held numerous charity events for local and national charities such as the Red Cross and the Stollery Children’s Hospital, and I am a proud supporter of both organizations. I aim to do more than simply write and release music. I want to do it in a way that aids those who are unable to get on with their lives. Whether that means writing material that uplifts those who are facing everyday struggles that I have also faced, or raising money for causes and movements that better the quality of life for the less fortunate, It gives me a much greater sense of accomplishment when I’ve made a difference. Most of all, I just want to have fun doing what I love simply because I love doing it. There is no amount of money in the world that could top that. I hope to someday be able to have music as a full time career. Seeing the world, experiencing new things and places every day, that to me is priceless.
