I definetely refer myself to singer-songwriter type of musicians. Grown up listening to 60-70s classics, I began writing songs at the age of 17, firstly using my native language. Then eventually a couple of english phrases came up, and that's why you are reading now this story. Countless hours of composing and rehearsing the songs, honing the lyrics, along with playing with local bands and learning about the recording process led me to my first studio session is St.Petersburg. Teamed up with local sound producer Malinen, we booked one of the best studios in the city and laid down all my ideas for the debut LP on tape. It looks like a total madness doing such things in Russia, with no decent market for english-lyrics songs. But anyway, I'm sure I'll find my listener outside the native country.
