简介
Despite the overwrought production and excessive use of Auto-Tune and popish hooks that typifies the output of today's corporate rap elite, SpyrQ’s innate raw power can't be masked. My Back Against Tha Wall is considered one of the most powerful and hard hitting albums in a long time. The album serves as an antidote to the flood of insipid hip-hop/R&B combinations that clog the airwaves. Standout tracks include the Heavy Hitter "I‘m Back" and the dead-on "Steppin Stone." On first listen, Against Tha Wall most accessible song, "Trapped In Tha Pain," comes off as mindless radio fodder, but its blunt lyrics quickly grows on you. The album's centerpiece, "Give Me Guidance," is a genuinely personal composition built around a conversation with God. Here, SpyrQ’s lyrics and delivery invite the same favorable comparisons to DMX and Tupac that he received earlier in his career. “My Back Against Tha Wall” is the Newest album from hip-hop purveyor SpyrQ.
