Onward, Lefkowitz-Brown’s sophomore release, perfectly describes the motive of the album. Chad pushes forward with his brilliant saxophone technique, and he presents an album that is both forward thinking while still honoring the deep tradition of jazz. In doing so, Chad continues to connect with audiences and jazz fans of all ages. In addition to exciting jazz listeners, Chad has gained deep respect from both his musical peers and his predecessors. This appreciation has made him one of the most sought out soloists in New York and beyond, earning features with the multi Grammy award-winning Afro Latin Jazz Orchestra, and touring and recording with groups led by veterans like Ron McClure (Charles Lloyd/Joe Henderson) and Clarence Penn (Michael Brecker/Dave Douglas.)
