Eric Moore on his own and showing that he can play all over the musical map, not just blues. “Pork Chops” is New Orleans party music. “Twelve Inches” is fifties’ rock and roll out of Jerry Lee Lewis. “The Place of Love” sounds like some forgotten Southern soul ballad James Carr or O.V. Wright should have done. “Let’s Get Hammered” is raucous jump blues and so on. This CD changes on every track. Moore is a strong soulful singer and a ferocious keyboard player. Gordon Beadle does great honking sax, and all the musicians rock madly. Eric Moore clearly loves what he does and it shows in his roof-raising, good time music.
