简介
Art Pleasley is 25-year-old songwriter/producer Angus Fitz-Bugden. Having spent the last few years skipping between Melbourne, Sydney and his native north-coast of NSW, 2014 marks the year of “getting sh*t together” and polishing off his full-length debut. After knocking out a couple of singles – More of You and Letters – and the experimental EP Fast/Feast in 2013, Pleasley returns with the first cut from a 4 year genre-hopping exercise that has finally amounted to a cohesive debut; the forthcoming Memories & Plans. Grown Ups is a song for the right person at the wrong time and with its grand piano, vintage synth exploration and intricate vocal layering, showcases the more electronic/melancholic aspects of his wheelhouse. With field-samples, drum machines and an optimistic conviction, Grown Ups was designed as a soundtrack for winter morning spent pondering. With the textured LP Memories & Plans set for release later in 2014, Grown Ups tests the waters with a newfound surety that sits you down, makes you a pot of tea and gently assures you; “Dude, you’ll be fine”. Grown Ups. July 8th, 2014.
