On a US tour bus traveling from Fort Lauderdale, FL to Houston, TX: Boom ViNiYaRd received a Phone call from friend Valencia “Red Antz” George. She had an idea for a song and would like to collaborate with the artist. She gave the scenario and asked him to write the hook. A few moments later it was done; “Baby I, miss having you around. How do I catch up to my love? She gone, gone, my love is on the run….” He called her back and she loved it. Another day he was chilling with his brother “VI Stylz” smoking some herds and playing “No Woman No Cry” on his guitar. The vibes was real; Stylz asked him to sing something original on the riddim; the first thing came to his mind was; “Baby I, miss having you around. How do I catch up to my love? She gone, gone, my love is on the run….” it was something special! He ran the idea of recording the song on the classic Bob Marley reggae beat by co-writer Red Antz. It was a great idea she said, and contacted Trackstas to make it happen. A chord pattern of “ C-G-F-C major was added to what was already an awesome progression to bring out the melody of the hook. At LCP Studios Boom ViNiYaRd lay down the test vocal track, he also added an acoustic guitar riff to a masterpiece of reggae with a blend of R&B and Hip Hop rendered by Dudley (Trackstas). The original intent of the song was a duet with the two writers but when everyone heard the test track they said it would be a good idea to release a solo single and the duet later.
