简介

"Don't Knock The Hoedown" This album reveals some of the String Fingers hits from 2012. The String Fingers made the decision to run an EP after the previous release of two full length albums "Strung Up" and "Don't Forget". "Don't Knock the Hoedown" had some much welcomed final additions in the beginning of 2013. The additions include master fiddle works by Brittany Haas on "Hard Drive Breakdown", "Bells and Whistles" and "Ten High", and Rushad Eggleston (Lord Jick) bows his cello of glory on Dan Carlucci's "Changing of the Guard". Dan Tressler's "Bells and Whistles" includes sweetly rendered harmonies by Jennifer Beyers, Dan Carlucci and Ian Bradley. The album also debuts a David Kaye original, "Ten High" which will surely put you all in the high happy mood. Please download this album and the String Fingers collection, share with your friends and write the band a review. More About The Band The String Fingers Band is a dynamic group of Connecticut-based musicians whose music crosses borders from traditional folk and roots Americana to progressive bluegrass. The band was formed in 2008 by Dan Tressler (fiddle/mandolin/vocals) and Dan Carlucci (guitar/mandolin/vocals). Tressler is a longtime Easton, CT native and versatile musician who got his start as a member of his family band, The Jackson Pike Skifflers. Carlucci was introduced to Tressler in 2001 by a mutual friend and the two quickly established a fruitful musical partnership. Berklee College of Music alumnus David Kaye (banjo/dobro/pedal steel), joined The String Fingers Band shortly after the release of their first album "Strung Up" (2008) and has helped to round out the nucleus of the band. The popularity of The String Fingers Band has risen locally and they were recently voted "Best Bluegrass Band" by The Fairfield County Weekly two years in a row (2010, 2011). The String Fingers Band plays regularly at premier venues throughout New England and New York. Members of the band have performed with folk legend Pete Seeger and bluegrass icon Ralph Stanley, and the group has recently shared the stage with artists such as Noam Pikelny, Darrell Scott, Bill Frisell, Sierra Hull, Della Mae, David Bromberg, Aoife O'Donovan and Phil Rosenthal of The Seldom Scene.
