Charlotte Deneef, a 23-year-old sound engineer, makes her debut as a music producer by winning the competition TMF Wereldhit with the song “Wonderland”. She doesn’t shy away from mixing electronic music with different music genres; ethnical sounds create an almost spiritual feel, and with warm and rich textures she makes choruses explode. Choirs and symphonic parts might even remind you of the 80’s New Age. She can create intense atmospheres and yet leave you with a positive vibe. ‘Ambient meets house music’, if you like. After winning the design competition at Outlook Festival (Croatia), she gained enough confidence to enter the competition of TMF Wereldhit one month later. The song had to contain 16 imposed samples and the lyrics had to be about one of the Millennium Development Goals. Not only was it her first time writing lyrics, she had also never before sang. The music video of “Wonderland” will be broadcasted on television (TMF) at least 5 times a day in October and November. The last episode of TMF Wereldhit (premiere on October 6 2013, rebroadcasted the 7 following days) is all about Dino Rex and the making of her new music video .
