"The Waste Land" is a poem written by Nobel Prize winning poet T.S. Eliot in 1922 and has received much critical acclaim as a turning point for classical American poetry. Expanding on Eliot's phrase "I'll show you fear in the dust", the song describes how internal struggles keep us from achieving our goals and becoming everything we are set to be.
