简介
The sound company operating under the project name Noiseshaper is poised to release its fourth album into record shops worldwide. The band received great acclaim for their first albums, which were released on the legendary and infamous (in many respects. unfortunately, we cant, wont and arent allowed to say any more) Rockers Hifi label Different Drummer. They later became celebrated for their musical contribution to the US television series CSI: Miami. The Viennese coffeetable boys Axel Hirn und Florian Fleischmann (who first moved to Berlin and then to London ... what a path...at least in musical terms) achieved cult status with their 12-inch single The Only Redeemer, which was later released in the US by Quango (Palm Pictures) and fast became a permanent fixture on the playlists of the best and most popular DJs in Berlin, Vienna, Tokyo, Paris, London and New York. The next dancefloor filler followed with All A Dem A Do, sung by Juggla, which was the bands first release to get heavy rotation on many European and US radio stations. Next up were remixes by and for heavyweights such as Sly & Robbie, Outkast, Seven Dub and Carl Douglas. Noiseshapers defining sound has been distilled and condensed on this, their fourth album: Real To Reel. This utterly distinctive blend of housey downbeats with a fat reggae flavour has brought the Noiseshapers international acclaim and popularity. They never wanted to be as cool as Basement Jaxx or Leftfield but with RTR they draw effortlessly alongside these giants, and not only because Adrian Sherwood mixed the RTR at his On U Sound studio! The fact that Noiseshaper have succeeded in bringing together such unique and distinctive vocalists as Ari Up (The Slits), G.Rizo (who has just released her MS debut on the DJ Hell Label Gigolo), Jackie Deane, Vido Jelashee I, Wayne Martin, Juggla, MC Shureshock and Jahcoustix takes this album well away from the sphere of the purely instrumental (and, just between you and me, an excessive proportion of instrumental parts on their albums is an accusation that could occasionally be levelled at Noiseshaper ). Rise, You Take Control, Jah Dub, Moving Together, All A Dem A Do and Dunk are the essential tracks from the bands first two albums; the tracks were re-recorded in the Noiseshaper sound in London and Berlin (there were problems with the original license holder) and were overdubbed and mixed by dub legend Adrian Sherwood at the On U Sound studio in Crouch End. The man responsible for sending Depeche Mode, Herbert Grönemeyer, Air and Simply Red into his echo chambers has breathed new life into the old compositions. The Sly & Robbie feat. Beans & Hakman (great vocal number!) remix of Noiseshaper and the Grace Jones/Trevor Horn tribute Love To the Rhythm round off this album, as do the brand new tracks The Creator, Wake Up and Fire Fi Me Roots. Bonus tracks include the bassy remixes by Tokyo Tower and the Trance Vision Steppers, and the video of the title track of the last album Rough Out There.
