Ska developed and came into its own in the 1960's. when the group called The Skatalites was form by some of the great musical giants who are luminaries from my pass Alma Mater ‘Alpha Boys School’. The founding members of The Skatalites were Tommy McCook, Don Drummond, Jackie Mittoo, Rolando Alphonso, Johnny Moore, Lloyd Brevett, Lloyd Knibb, Jah Jerry Haynes, Jackie Opel and Lester Sterling. The Skatalites was the band that propelled the music to such great heights with many classical songs to last a lifetime and beyond. The band’s catalog of music is so outstanding, and it’s in that spirit of 'The Skatalites' we bring to you Ska Dance: So people, kick- off your shoes, dance and enjoy yourselves to you Hearts’ delight.
