简介
PLAN 9 TRASH RECORDS PROUDLY PRESENTS „SCHITZELBILLY #4 – ROCKABILLY MADE IN AUSTRIA“ From the country that brings Kaiserschmarrn, Sachertorte, Mozartkugeln, Mannerschnitten, and of course Wiener Schnitzel to you, here it is: Volume four of our Schnitzelbilly – Rockabilly Made in Austria Vinyl series. But our country is not only well-known for its culinary delicacies – maybe you have heard about Austrian villages with names that sound a bit strange in the English language: Assling, Stocking and Fucking. But in order to end the whole thing in a serious way: Also psychoanalysis was founded in Austria by Sigmund Freud. His teachings are still used today and hotly debated - worldwide. Fia Sco & The Majestics “Rockin & Rollin” (De Vil) 02:20 Freud once said “I spent my entire life studying the nature of the woman, but I still don’t know what she wants”. For sure, you’ll hear what she wants and what she was born for, Fia Sco and her Majestics are made for rockin’! Formed in 2014, the combo centered around the then 17-year-old front woman and released one longplay album and four singles since then. The band's own compositions are written by Viennese Rockabilly veteran Don De Vil and the boys around Fia Sco play their instruments with dedication and passion. King Luie "Rockabilly Rocket" (Loidhold) 03:20 Bluesy, earthy with many classics-flavoured Rockabilly influences, King Luie throws in his first self-penned song "Rockabilly Rocket" to the Schnitzelbilly Compilation. The Lower-Austrian King Luie with his backing group the Gunslingers , have become an insider tip when it comes to sensational live music performance. Armed with an unmistakeable grating voice, the pounding rhythm in the nape of the neck, and a great dose of humour on stage, this act thrills with a driving, rough, slightly different sound. Under The Beltline “Down to get again back up” (Pimmingstorfer) 02:57 Back in November 2013 - a former coal mine town located in Upper Austria: Four guys got together to steam up the Rock'n'Roll-train again. Playing their authentic and energetic Rock’n’Roll at many gigs in Austria and Bavaria, Under The Beltline persuades more and more passengers to get into the spirit of the 50s again. With their cool stompin’ Schnitzelbilly contribution with the weird title “Down to get again back up”, the band guarantees that the Rock'n'Roll train keeps on moving. Under The Beltline ... and you’ll get Rock 'n' Roll! The Raw-Cats “End of the Road” (Lewis) 02:29 A young and zealous formation from Linz in Upper Austria. The identity of the band is located in the 50s. Elegant, yet wild, rough and equally silky, the Rockabilly-based Raw-Cats capture a variety of style influences, including jazz, blues, rhythm’n'blues, country, swing and rock. In combination with rich and sharp guitar and piano solos, a complex soundtrack emerges. We’ve chosen one of the first recordings of the combo for this Schnitzelbilly compilation, a highly energetic cover version of Jerry Lee Lewis’ “End of the Road”.
