简介
Jennifer Lynn is a singer and songwriter whose soaring vocal range, shimmering original tunes, and commanding stage presence have earned her a following through live shows, radio, and television. Jennifer captured the hearts of the Dutch public with her performances into the finals on last season’s “The Voice of Holland”—from soul-stirring ballads to raw power pop. She has sung and played live on the Edwin Evers Radio Show, with Armin van Buuren, and with John Ewbank & the Metropole Orchestra. Jennifer Lynn has been playing piano since she could reach the keys. She grew up in a musical household, since her mother was a professional church soloist. She learned to play by ear, and since early childhood she has been writing and performing her own material. Her songs have grown to have a sharp pop sensibility, shaped by R&B and some full-throated rock and roll. Piano remains the foundation for her songwriting and performing, though her musical abilities extend to guitar, bass, harmonica and drums. With her roots in Chicago, Jennifer Lynn honed her songwriting and performing playing clubs and gigs from coast to coast in the United States. She recorded her first album in Nashville. Offered a regular featured gig in the Netherlands with the well-known club Crazy Pianos, she found a new source of inspiration and appreciation for the Dutch lifestyle. She has called the Netherlands home ever since. Performing on a regular basis throughout the Netherlands, Belgium and Germany, Jennifer Lynn has become a frequent performer for special events including Dutch royalty. At a striking 6 feet tall, Jennifer Lynn has a voice that’s bigger still. Her sophomore album, “Six Degrees,” shows that she’s a singer who’s gutsy but vulnerable. Bracing and heartfelt, iridescent and irresistible, these tightly crafted songs tell what it means to love and hurt and dream—whether you’re “Fishing for the Moon” or just trying to “Keep it Simple” when life throws startling twists your way. This is sparkling, beautiful stuff, from a singer with a story to tell.
