Following up the success of guitarist Wayne Brasel's earlier much loved acoustic guitar record, " Guitar for my Father" , his new record " Songs from the Icons" is a beautiful collection of Brasel originals that he performs as solo guitar pieces using classical, steel string and 12 string guitars.Much like his solo guitar concerts, this record is more intimate and intense than some of his earlier produtions.Sometimes meditative, other times free flowing driving as he spins out one improvisation after another , creating beautiful tapestries of themes and variation within the pieces.
