RICKY ROCKET: synths/samples/keyboards/percussion/voices/etc. Once upon a time, several years ago, four Boston school bus drivers sought a way to unwind during school vacations. Also being musicians, with different approaches and tastes, they blended into many relaxed get-togethers, creating some whacky 'n' wild textural jam/groove/spaced-out musique. As time passed, these sonic soundscapes came to resemble form and content...enough to catch their ears and intentions. So, knowing a good thing can never get good enough, they turned on their home tape decks and began recording. Whoa - now this was getting fairly interesting. As their dialogue became more focused, so did the music. And to make matters even more symbiotic, they actually packed up their equipment, and trekked to several performance spaces for a live presentation with audience reaction. Taking a chance that their constant inspiration would not be diminished, they went into more professional studios to start capturing their magic. Occasionally, they would invite a few friends to join them for the sessions. After a couple of years, they collected all their material and set about to master their debut album. With the guiding hand of Chuck U. (tape FX wizard with Urban Ambience), they shaped the totally live spontaneous compositions into dynamic tracks that eventually became "the later stages of NOW!"
