Melbourne-based band, Storm The Sky, was launched in September 2011, receiving an overwhelming amount of recognition and publicity for their EP teaser music video which was launched alongside the page, helping them to gain over 1000 Facebook ‘likes’ in the first five hours of the page being active. The band released their 7-track self-titled EP in December 2011, recorded at Electric Sun Studios in Sydney, to a huge amount of positive feedback and continuing the immense hype since their formation. Their hard work paid off and the EP reached #2 in the Australian iTunes metal charts, second only to Lamb of God, and maintained a top ten position for close to a month. Combining catchy melodic rhythms with heavy breakdowns, Storm The Sky have created a sound different to any other Australian band. With an acoustic video, a full music video, a national tour and several interstate tours already under their belt, as well as support slots with the likes of Dream On, Dreamer, Northlane, Sienna Skies, Stonefield, House vs Hurricane and The Bride, they have seen their following grow at a rapid pace. 2012 will see Storm The Sky record a 5 track EP, to be mixed and mastered overseas, followed by a calendar of relentless touring and breaking into the overseas market.
