Gary Spaulding, Senior Gleaner Writer "I was really overwhelmed because the response was so great. I wasn't expecting that," gushes gifted soul singer Tanice Morrison. She may have been told previously that she was uniquely blessed, but Tanice did not quite grasp the compliment's scope until a group of mature audience members showered her with praise after a concert. Tanice performed at Café Bamboo, Molynes Road, for a romantic Valentine's evening and the audience was unquestionably mesmerised as Tanice, who dubs herself the 'Reggaesoul Child', delivered a range of popular music. Demonstrating time and again that she could do more than justice to R&B originals from the likes of Celine Dion, Whitney Houston and Mariah Carey, Tanice wooed the romantically inclined gathering from the get-go. The singer is ecstatic that the Valentine's night's experience, aptly titled 'In the Mood for Love', showcased music's romantic side, a favourite of Jamaicans. With her new single, Missing Pieces, set to soothe the airwaves, Morrison said her debut album was released in 2010 and she is currently working on several new singles.
